Catch Up Premium

The government has provided schools with Catch Up Premium funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after school closure. This is especially important for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged backgrounds.

As a mainstream primary school, Corby Primary Academy receives £80 per pupil, which is a total of £33,680

We are using this money to:

  • Fund a whole school approach to writing in order to close the attainment gap between reading and writing.

  • Fund the use of specialist staff for PE, Music and the Arts to allow release time for class teachers to address gaps in pupil's knowledge and understanding in a rapidly and timely manner.

  • Fund the purchase of additional IT equipment to allow pupils to engage positively with, and to support home learning.
